In honour of World Menopause Day on Friday 18th October, Innovus is excited to announce the launch of our menopause awareness training module for all colleagues across the business. This initiative, in partnership with Meno Plan, reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting women in the workplace, helping them navigate the challenges of menopause while continuing to thrive in their careers.

With growing awareness of menopause in the workplace, and new guidance from the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) issued in February 2024, Innovus is taking proactive steps to ensure our workforce is educated and empowered to support those affected.

Why This Training Matters

Menopause is a natural phase of life that affects nearly half the workforce, yet its impact is often overlooked. Involuntary symptoms such as hot flushes, fatigue, and difficulty concentrating can sometimes make work more challenging. Innovus, in collaboration with Menoplan, recognises the importance of supporting colleagues through this life stage and addressing these challenges through comprehensive menopause training.

This training will focus on:

  • Raising awareness about menopause symptoms.
  • Guiding all employees on how to support colleagues experiencing menopause.
  • Promoting an inclusive environment where open conversations are encouraged.

Team leaders and managers have already completed this training, equipping them with the tools to create flexible and supportive environments. Now, all Innovus employees will receive training to ensure consistent understanding and support across the business.

By investing in menopause training, Innovus aims to:

  • Retain experienced staff who might otherwise feel unsupported.
  • Reduce absenteeism by creating a workplace where employees feel empowered to manage their symptoms.
  • Enhance company culture by promoting diversity and inclusion.

At Innovus, we’re committed to ensuring that all employees feel supported and valued throughout every stage of their lives. By implementing menopause training, we aim to create a more inclusive and understanding workplace, where everyone can perform at their best.
