Innovus Reinvigorates Mental Health First Aid Initiative, Empowering Employees to Support Wellbeing - Innovus

Written by Innovus | 13 May 2024

Coinciding with Mental Health Awareness Week 2024 (13th-19th May), Innovus is delighted to announce the relaunch of its Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training initiative, which prioritises employee wellbeing and promotes a supportive working environment.

This renewed effort builds upon a strong foundation. Seven staff members recently completed refresher training to maintain their MHFAider certification, demonstrating Innovus’s commitment to ongoing support. The initiative also welcomes a first cohort of new MHFAiders, who participated in a successful two-day in-person programme held at the company’s Luton office. This programme equips participants with the skills and knowledge to identify, understand, and support colleagues experiencing mental health issues.

This is a significant step forward in our continued commitment to employee wellbeing,” said Rachael Parker, Learning and Development Partner at Innovus. “We’re thrilled to congratulate our new MHFAiders and existing team members who underwent refresher training. Their dedication strengthens our internal support network and their enthusiasm sets a fantastic example for future cohorts.”

These newly qualified and requalified MHFAiders will form the foundation of a growing Wellbeing Team at Innovus. They will collaborate to create a robust support network for all employees.

We are incredibly grateful for the unwavering support of our Executive Team in championing this initiative,” said Rachael. “Their commitment to employee wellbeing is a driving force behind this important programme.”

This MHFA initiative represents just one aspect of Innovus’ commitment to employee wellbeing. The company offers a comprehensive wellness programme that includes resources and support for both physical and mental health needs.

The MHFA course was delivered by Rachael Parker, a qualified Mental Health First Aid England Instructor Member.
